I just watched a preview video on youtube on the new xbox that will probably come out in a couple of years. It was during e9 that this video was introduced so I'm sure some have seen it. Now time for ranting.


Apparently your entire body is the controller. They give you s motion sensor pad to stand on and you have to control everything that happens. So its like wii with the controllers. This is all well and good, but if I wanted to literally play football, I would go to a pitch and play it. I don't feel like running for 5 minutes a half when playing a video game. I love playing sports, but I turn on a system when I'm too fucking lazy to play.


Further, how the hell am I supposed to play a shooter? Some shooters require me to dive and sprint, am I going to have to literally sprint? How shit would that be?


Some people love the wii and I'm very happy for these people. I'm not one of them. Like I said, if I wanted to literally play the sport, if go to a court. In the end I hope the next generations carry this motion sensor pad as an accessory and keep controllers. 3d graphics are also very much in the future and they should carry those too.

 

I couldn't agree more. I enjoy playing wii-like games every now and then but I'm still more inclined towards the old school controller.
