I read somewhere else that they also have other proposals in that the Europa League winner (and runner up maybe can't remember) would automatically qualify for Champoins League Play the next year. That way it would give more of a legitimacy to the EL. If I can find the link I post it.

Please let this happen and then have Mo spend money to get us there. I love Champions League football more than anything else in the sport. The Europa League is a joke until the later knockout rounds. This is a better way to do European football.

Well that's kind of a bummer when you think about it. Imagine if they had done that a few years ago. Clint would have gotten his Champions league play with Fulham and might still be around. I would have loved to see Clint alongside Berba with Jol at the helm. I havent seen that much of Clint's play at Spurs, but from what I have seen, I think Jol's system was better for him.

I'm not particularly in favor of scrapping the Europa. If the CL went straight to only winners (and maybe domestic cup winners), the Europa would benefit and it'd truly be a "Champions League." I support the idea of the Europa winner going into the CL (and runner up too). It'd increase the value of the competition in the eyes of "big clubs." If the CL expands to 64, then it wouldn't be a "top 4" in England, but instead a top 6-8 that Fulham also probably couldn't crack due to other clubs' ridiculous investments. Arrrrggghhh, matey - curmudgeony this morning.
