Why Barcode?

    Relax Steve, this is NOT a Newcastle United thread.

    Google likes to change the look of their name every day. Today, the name has been replace by a barcode? Is there a significance to this that I'm missing? :?:

    Apparently, It was 57 years ago today that the first ever patent was issued for the barcode.

    I'll take random historical dates for 600, Alex.

    I was gonna tweak Don for not just typing in barcode as a search term, but cant... because the results only shows one reference and it's less than 2 hours old.

    Interesting pun, though: "What's black and white and read all over?"

    'google barcode' does provide the answer.

    barcode was truly revolutionary. Such a thing would go a long way in health care reform, but then all those civil liberty and libertarians would most likely be up in arms.
