I received an interesting email from one of the editors of Fultime, Adam Reed. He asked me to do an interview and to produce some pictures of some FUSA gatherings. So, to the NYC group, the SoCals, San Antonio, and everywhere else, please PM me so I can send you my email address and I would very much like to have you send some pictures that will hopefully find their way into Fultime.

Also, Adam asked me for some match day stories. Please feel free to send them too. As an example, in the Brum game during the great escape, FUSA Cleveland watched the game with friends and family, about a 6-8 person contingent, and we shared the bar with two Brum fans, who were good guys, and respectful, but not nearly as happy as we were. Any other good stories?

Thanks to everyone for their help!

    Steve

Mods, any chance this thread could get a sticky?

    Steve,

there are a few "page 2" stories about match days out in the archives. One of them includes a picture of me with the Bay Area crowd at the Kezar Pub. I've also got the photo somewhere.

Steve, make sure the photos show some of the lady Fusa members - and I'm not saying me but rather the ones who've been around the site longer - Teri, DCHeather, Meggers, etc.

I'll send you two match-day stories - you were a part of them both.

Rudy (RDG) sent me a lot of pics of the degenerates in Nevada Smiths. Also, Sublicon, one he suggewted that I use is the pic of you passed out drunk after one of the games in the Great Escape but I couldn't find it in any of the match threads -- care to help a brother out.

    Go to this link:

Pics from Brewhouse, my trip to Craven Cottage April 2008 (met other FUSA folks at Golden Lion).

I have others, but that is pretty extensive set. I can link/ label folks, if needed.

    Send me a PM!

You have a pic from that day, Don?!? Holy crap! I had no idea.

Either that, or I've blocked it out--early morning games are not always a good time to pull out the cameras. Heh.

I can't wait to see what everyone pulls together! We definitely need another Bay Area meetup. From what I can tell, we may have a few new peeps to get involved around here.

ETA: HA! I just looked up the pic. We definitely need a new opportunity for group photos--my vanity is insisting that I point out that that pic was me 30 pounds ago.

I guess if that isn't motivation to get a new SFBAY FUSA get-together organized, than I don't know what is! Nevzter, MisfitKit, Rev-eler--any other Bay Area peeps out and about that want to figure out a good match to catch?

Meggrs, I just sent SteveM19 an email with the pictures HatterMom took that morning -- you looked lovely, although OUT OF UNIFORM! -- but I can't figure out how to find the article that Pettyfog put up out of my drunken post the evening of the game.

 Still working on that! I think there are holidays coming up sometime in the near future.....

I searched the page 2 archive for articles written by you, and it came up--though it did take some digging. It was nice to revisit that day!

I will come down from Sac for a Bay Area meet-up. Kezar Pub would be perfect - I have a friend who lives around the corner. Keep me in the loop!

    Nice, Steve. Do us proud.

    [personal nostalgia hijack]

The SF meeting was a top notch day, indeed, a stereotypical SF morning fog/rain drizzle and viewing Fulham in a pub at 7am with fellow FUSAers, including a transplanted HatterD...nothing finer. And beer for breakfast is rarely improved upon. It's been far too long since the last Bay Area meeting, let's do it again like Steely Dan.

I'll check out the TV schedule (unless somebody already has it to give to my lazy a$$) and propose a meeting, and after we get a date, I'll make sure Kezar knows we're coming (not that it'll do any good, but WTF).

HD, got any airline miles to cash in?

Steve, are you going to attach release forms so you can show my pretty mug?
Let me contact my attorney... Nev?

Hey Nev, Meg, etc. I'd be up for another Kezar run.
But I can't make it until after November. My weekends are toast until after soccer season, mucho ref'n.

That sounds brilliant, Nev! Thanks for volunteering. Heh. Of course, I'm happy to help plan. I'm thinking one of us should start up a SFBAY topic thread (I just typed "threat," how very Freudian!) in the "News and Gatherings" forum. This way we can coordinate and advertise in the appropriate spot, and keep Martin, rev-eler, and anyone else who is interested in the loop.

I bet we can work something out! Perhaps if we give Don some time to plan in advance, we could tempt him out for a reunion match! December is a lovely holiday month for many reasons, including my birthday.....

    Hint hint, Don. :0

I just read over on Friends of Fulham that the latest issue of Fultime is out and FulhamUSA is featured on page 61.

    Perhaps someone will procure copies?
