Looks like Stockdale had a decent day between the pipes. He had 11 saves on 25 shots (12 on goal) versus the 5 total shots (2 on goal) Fulham put on Given.

Would have been cool for the reserves to beat Citeh's high dollar squad and rekindle the "sack Hughes" fires. However we're probably better off with this Cup off the schedule with Europa and WC qualifiers.

Were you on the touchline, LAX? Great photos, thanks (aside from them being a City goal, that is).

When I stumbled across these, I thought they were pretty awesome (minus the whole fact that it is the game-winning goal against the team I support).

Also, it appears Chris Baird is avoiding contact in the second photo.

Stockdale looks like a character from Gumby & Friends in the 3rd photo.

the other highlight: listening to Gentleman Jim attempt to pronounce Dikgacoi, and actually talk about how he was screwing it up.

Not to mention his continued inability to separate the Riise brothers. He's as much fun as Dizzy Dean used to be. An international treasure.

This team is going down. How our reserves can lose to a piss poor City team is beyond me. We had players out there with names like Dicks Ahoy and So High Keon and should've won based on the names alone. City must be happy about this win. They beat a team that has so much potential, but continues to struggle. This team sucks.

Sorry, I had to keep up the negative attitude and this was all I could come up with.

FFC24. So there IS a sense of humor behind that gruff exterior? :)

ALL: How did Eddie play? I saw the assist on Gera's goal, but otherwise, did he earn himself any sub appearances at least?

From what I have read elsewhere we don't really want to know how EJ played.

Glad to hear the reserves in general put up an outstanding fight against Citeh.

most of what I'm reading on the Fulham sites is pretty negative about Eddie, but NONE of what I've read on the Fulham sites is from anyone who actually saw the match.

I know that it was his pass that Gera lashed into the goal, but everyone is basing their opinion of Johnson's performance on two things:

    a. Gentleman Jim's commentary
    b. Their opinion of him prior to his being loaned to Cardiff last season.

He is clearly this season's inheritor of universal Fulham message board abuse, taking over from
Gera last season, who took over from
Baird the season before, who took over from
Dempsey, the half-season before that AND
Diop, pretty much every day following his first couple of matches.

    You forgot Radzinski.

(Ah, the joys of being a fan for awhile...)

Come on...Chris Baird was open season 2 years ago and deservedly so. This so called "Chris Baird" that now plays for Fulham is assuredly a robot imposter. Or maybe he was simply ill-suited for RB, thank you, L. Sanchez. Ass.
