Serie A to break away from Serie B

    According to the ESPN ticker the Serie A will break away from the Serie B in 2010-2011 to form its own league. I have not seen or heard anything reported on this but I wonder what this means for relegation/promotion in Italy?

    The A teams go it alone

    Relegation will remain, just up the stakes. It will primarily change the revenue sharing paradigm.
