To try and prevent the away goal by Fulham and then hope to get lucky on the road.

Maybe, but the Vetra mgr dropped the ball -- that's like trying to win the lottery. Take some initiative, will ya?

Unless you're playing my team, in which case, thanks for making it easier for us to win

Perhaps. But remember that it worked for them against HJK. They dropped the first leg at home 0-1 and then beat the Finns 3-1 on their own patch. A lesson for us: don't go into defensive mode at the Cottage.

It didn't really work though. They lost at home and gave up an away goal to the Finns and backed themselves into a corner, which they got out of by playing completely differently in Helsinki. If their plan was predicated on scoring three goals over the two legs, they would've tried to score them at home.

2nd Leg tomorrow. Another win and a seeding and off to another former eastern bloc country for Fulham!

I'd like to see the same starters as the first leg if for no other reason to give them meaningful time together prior to the season opener. When the match is under wraps, I'd like to see Roy give EJ a chance...but that's just me.

    COYW!
