According to the official site, there will be radio commentary

    http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsA ... Vetra.aspx

this would be a "yay" -- unfortunately, I thought the game started two hours later and, due to a medical appointment, I might miss the eintire thing.

COYW! -- Beat them dirty yellows.

A very pleasing result, especially so early on. It's not unusual to be caught a little cold first thing in a season.

It sounds like we had a battle for 30 minutes before taking control. Great to keep a clean sheet and more importantly to win away from home at the first opportunity. Very much looking forward to going to the Cottage next week for the rematch, it's been a while since we've started a season hoping for anything more than saftey. COYW.

For those who didn't hear on the match audio and were perhaps nervous or confused: Etuhu didn't play because his wife is very pregnant and he stayed back in London with her, not because of any issues relating to his own health or fitness.

Not to completely put a damper on the Boobzy love, but consider the opponent. Bob netted an important goal against Kettering Town as well and it didn't translate to success in the Prem.

But here's hoping this year will be different.

My favorite part of that clip is how audible you can hear the FFC supporters. They certainly travel well!

I know Vetra may not be a quality opponent, but it was a Europa game on their field. It's not like a friendly against a league side or an early FA Cup game against a League 1 opponent. That Fulham managed to actually score 3 goals on them is real impressive considering Fulham's lack of goals last season. The win should guarantee passage into the next round, which is the important result.

Most surprising, Seol Ki-Hyeon is still on the team...and he scored!

    1. Steve, the assist was by murphy -- as sweet a pass as you're likely to see.
    2. Op; the crowd was fantastic. Evidently we made a lot of friends out there.
    3. Matt, you can only play against the team in front of you. The man was responsible for all three goals. Give him his due.

    That's a fact, Jack!

BobbyZ was seemingly the man today.

Fantastic result and stoked to see 3 AWAY goals to start the season!

Zamora was the man today, but what's that saying 'every now and then, the sun shines on a dog's...'? That's quite a way to start the campaign, so if he's gonna be a White this season, I'm gonna give him a clean slate.

    That said...

Interestingly Seol scored in the first game of the season last year as well. Must be an omen.

Probably right, although with European football in the works, he might stay if we make into the group stages.

 That kid was cracking me up. (Of course, had we not scored, "cracking up" would not be how I would have described it.)

Riddle me this -- why would you turtle up and play a 4-5-1 while you are the home team?!?

That pass by Murphy -- top shelf stuff there!
