He sure does. Hopefully if Villareal do loan him out again it'll be to a team that's willing to play him.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought he had some poor patches in WC qualifying and in the Confed. The only thing the kid lacks is seasoning. It would be nice for him to get regular starts in the upcoming season. If he does, he'll be ready to lead the line in South Africa 2010.

He is raw, but the talent is there. He needs playing time for sure, but his future is bright. I hope he gets time this season.

All in all, not too shabby a loan deal - Olympiakos is not exactly a small club. Hopefully, he gets/earns an opportunity to join in their yearly crash out of the Champions League, and a few matches in the Europa League thereafter.

Am I mistaken or does the Greek League have a few fan-related racism issues every season? Guess I should probably just Google it myself...

Olympiakos were already the league champions, and they've now signed THREE young strikers, including England U-21 Matt Derbyshire. This transfer doesn't mean automatic minutes for Jozy, but he has a better chance than he did for the Yellow Submarine.

As for racism, he should be okay as long as nobody thinks he's Turkish.

I can't believe Villareal aren't going to give him a shot now. Is he really better off in #%#ing Greece than MLS? Just sayin

He won't have a chance to compete in the Champions League at NYRB, Spencer.

I am skeptical about this but with Europe matches and league matches, he hopefully gets some time.

I just hope so as he needs to work on some of his skills.

Olympiakos move is NOT a done deal - a bit of overzealous reporting by the Greek media.

Glad to see him get out of Spain and have the chance to see him, but a bad move for Jozy.

At this moment, Jozy will be lining up top with Craig Fagan, Caleb Folan, and Daniel Cousin. Ouch.

Sure, he'll get plenty of PT -- which after last season is a big step up. But its not going to be pretty.

Don't forget that Phil Brown (to steal a buddy's assessment) is "a bloviating narcissist who will probably ruin Jozy."

sad to see him go there, but I'll be rooting hard for him to grow, score goals, and get confidence for South Africa.

Me too. Except when he plays Fulham. Then I hope he catches a really nasty cold and has to stay home those days. Better yet perhaps international duty could cause him to be too knackered to play.
