May have missed this on another post but Marcus Hanhemann has signed for Wolverhampton. I think it is a one year deal. I believe that puts the no. of starting US keepers in the Premiership at 3 with Timmy, Friedel and himself.

Mike, just think, you can look forward to seeing him back at the Cottage! (hopefully with a few balls in the back of his net)

I wouldn't be surprised to see Guzan loaned out to somebody too.

Marcus has only been guaranteed an opportunity to compete for the starting spot at Wolves. An article penned shortly after he signed stated Wolves have a couple of young keepers they rate very highly and that Marcus was being brought in to mentor them and compete for the starting position.

IMO he may be eyeing the starting spot in Seattle post Kellar.

True, no guarantees he will start, although I hope he does.

I'll be pretty surprised if he beats out Hennessey.

Villa just bought another keeper, I think... or they have bid for a keeper in a Eastern European league or Russian league.

You're probably right though. However, Friedal is the least likely guy to break down and Guzan sat on the bench all last year. If he was English he'd be loaned out somewhere.

Odd signing. Hahnemann may be slightly better than Hennessey, but he's also much older. Not sure why they need both.
