I said more on FOF. Michael's life was a fucking (dont usually curse but reserve it for times like this) tragedy. Has always made me so sad even though I could care less for his music. Sad sad sad. GRYS Micheal.

Breaking out Off the Wall tonight in honor...RIP.

To any neighbors that could be reading this, please excuse the bad white-dude dancing about to take place in my living room.

I make jokes about Michael -- I did so on FofF -- but his talent and his influence are unsurpassed. Don't believe it? Nev, after you've played off the wall, name a single "pop tart" who doesn't rip that album off inflection for inflection. Just about every female pop singer for the last 20 years has been imitating that.

I despise Michael for his sexual predatory nature, and for cornering the market on Beatles music, but he was a tremendous entertainer. It's a shame he fucked himself up so bad. When I was teaching high school in the late 80s, I use to have several lines that began, "I'm so old that ... ." One of them was that I was so old that I could remember when Michael was a guy ... and a black one at that.

Or so old that you were a teacher in a time when you could actually make either of those jokes without disciplinary and/or legal action.

It is very sad to see how his life panned out and tragically ended. I remember the first time I heard about 'Fulham' was when I was in College and saw that Michael visited Craven Cottage.

Anyone who disputes his musical genius, influence and talent is an idiot. Anyone who disputes he was warped and tragically misspent his 'civilian' life is also.

Everyone else on here has hit the crux of it. Several of the blogs I read, though, are not making fun of him but of the media in their so called 'tributes'.

Lets also pray for those who feel they most gather around the hospital and residence sites.. what sad, pathetic lives they must lead.

Ah... I've finally read what I consider the best retrospective on Jacko..
Slate: Thriller was Michael Jackson's masterpiece. It was also his curse.
    but....
    Precisely!
