After a busy weekend of watching Fulham drive me crazy, then my Alma Mater upsetting USC, a Saturday night wedding/reception, a Sunday morning of watching my wife's Pittsburgh Steelers look like bumble bees in some heinous throwback uniforms, a Sunday evening of movies and the amazingly great tv show Walking Dead, and I can now shift my focus to the Fall Classic...What? It's over?? The Giants swept??? The Tigers scored 6 runs (shut out twice) in 4 games??? The execs at Fox have to be thrilled with this WS  Aside from NoCal and Detroit my guess is that Cupcake Wars beat it in the ratings. I'm a baseball fan and I watched maybe 2 innings.

All joking aside congrats to Nev, RR, and all the other Giants fans. To come back from the brink against Cincinnati and St. Louis it was though they knew the hard part was over and there was no stopping them. Bruce Bochy is as good a manager as there is, to win it twice in three years is a tremendous accomplishment.

Did I think the Giants would win it all this year? No. Am I amazed that this team DID WIN IT ALL? Yes! Better than 2010 in my book, it was an insane ride. Can't wait for the crazy parade this Wednesday!

Congrats to the Giants and their fans. Nev, I know exactly how you feel...I did not see '06 or last year coming from the Cardinals, AT ALL! It just makes all the sweeter, does it not? I knew Detroit was in trouble when Verlander lost game one. He's got Bob Gibson stuff, just not Bob Gibson WORLD SERIES stuff!

Already looking forward to spring training! San Fran should still be good, and my guys stand only to lose Lohse and Berkman at this point. There's always the injury bug jumping up to bite you, but I fully expect to see both in the post season again next season.

I only want one more thing from my heroes with the Birds on the Bat before I kick the bucket...another World Series triumph over the YANKEES! I hold no hope of catching them at this point in the proceedings, but I do hope we beat them for the Commissioners Trophy at least one more time whilst I'm still aspirating.

Just remember, this is a simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Some days you win, some days you lose and some days, it rains.

    Think about that.
