Well I am ecstatic at the moment because I just returned home from a track meet in which I just shattered my PR in Long Jump. My previous record was 19'7" last year. Today I jumped 20'2"!!!! This earned me 2nd place at the meet and a new sophomore record for my school. As you might guess, I'm extremely proud of myself and I thought I'd let ya'll know, mostly to vent, or maybe even to boost my ego

Congrats Ianhux. I love track and field and high school sports. Thanks for the report - happy to hear a Fulham fan is breaking records. Keep it up!

Yes it was the meet in Peshastin. Terribly cold down by the riverside.

Heartbreak. Yesterday at the district meet I jumped 20'10.5" which put me in third overall and a place in the state meet. Then, on my rival's last jump, he jumped over 21' and beat me for the first time this season. Rather unbelievable. Hopefully something analogous does not happen to Fulham this weekend.

Oh I feel for ya Ianhux. Nevertheless, 20'10.5" is a freakin long jump - congrats. You're still only a sophomore and you still have the school record!

Jumping Events are funny like that. In the extreme you have Bob Beamon and his just at the Mexico City Olympics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIgk75Jn9ZQ

In the less extreme, I my furthest Outdoor Long jump in Spring 2000 was 22' 5" then at the NEC Championship meet (only 1 week later) I jumped 23' 7 1/2".

All jumpers have those days and you'll surprise yourself sooner or later.

Well the sophomore record as far as I know.... The real school record is 22'4.5" which I hope to best next year. And I thank you all for the support on here. It confirms my decision to be a Fulham fan as one of the best decisions ever made.
