    National Team Trivia: A Haitian scored the only goal, the winning goal, for the UNited States against England in the 1950 World Cup.

    His name was Joe Gaetjens, and his story is very interesting, if not tragic (if true).

    I read the Book, The Game of Their Lives, it is a very good read and does a better job of telling that team's story.

    I'm not so sure, Don. Costa Rica's group is, by far, the toughest to get out of, and Mexico's has no clear 2nd strong team. USAs group is probably the most balanced with Honduras giving the US a challenge for the top spot.
