The Amish: 'Slow Geeks'

They have their own ways of hacking stuff.

Best short synopses. Most ALLOW the geeks among them to try new tech before they decided.

Note the commenters.. most illuminate further but some {note their gender} defame them. Note the stultified bitch harping about child labor outrages.

One commenter questions why an amish would have a CNC metal machining setup. He doubts it's for the benefit of the Amish community.
No doubt that person has some sort of advanced degree in something thus is devoid of the least bit of analytical common sense. Which if he had would explain it in light of them keeping their machinery running forever, just like those guys who rebuild old cars and motorcycles.. and monster garage.

The Amish {from Indiana} built a steel-clad pole barn for my brother. Great work and done quickly. They used battery powered tools to do it, except for hand saws for the trimming of the pole tops.
They charged the tools at home with solar, their driver had an inverter in his van, and they asked for an outlet at the worksite to keep them topped off.

 

Funny. I just read that article. The picture of the rollerblading Amish guy is classic.
