As I said on my blog, this is good & bad.

Good-Once again avoided premiership competition. You want to do that as long as possible.

Bad-Away versus a quality championship team

Normally I always want a victory. But in this case, I would more than settle for a Cottage replay. But a win isn’t out of the question. We proved we can win on the road versus a Championship side already. We can do it again.

Would've liked to get a home match after going away the third and fourth rounds, but so be it. The Swans aren't going to be an easy match. They're in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League this year after dominating League One in 2007-08 and scalped Portsmouth at Fratton Park yesterday.

... and they had a great cup run last year. If we don't get our shit together in midfield, and get Mark and the back four back on the same page again VERY quickly, this will be our last FA Cup match this season. Swansea play VERY good football, and going there is no walk in the park.

Nervous about this draw to say the least, but we avoided a prem side so I can't complain. Biggest fear for me doesn't rest with Swansea side, but the recurring problems with the backline/Schwarzer and the overall poor play in the midfield.

This is a great opportunity for Fulham to advance. It all boils down to which Fulham side shows up at Liberty Stadium. The side that squeaked past Kettering or side that outclassed Chelsea at the Cottage.

As a supporter I'm very excited about this draw. A chance to go to yet another ground I've never been to and we avoided the big 4 and other premier league teams.

It won't be easy but it is winnable, like ToM says...depends on what Fulham team turns up. Will be a goodun. COYWs

I do like the optimistic way to look at it. Realistically, a path into the quarterfinal that doesn't require a single match against another Premier League team is about as good as you can hope for.

I also agree with the positivity. We just navigated a minefield and although it's a tricky proposition, still beats going to Old Trafford.

For the record, Swansea leads the CCC in draws this season with 14. The Whites are tied for the most in the EPL with 8. Replay anyone?

Swansea's form since their last loss (Nov. 21 vs. Birmingham, btw):

    DDDDDDDDWWWW

(two of those four Ws were in the Cup)

Just read on the Setanta Sports USA website that the game will be televised live at 7:45 am. When I saw the kick off time (12:45 pm local), I figured it would be on Setanta.

Good deal for me. I recently dropped my FSC for a little while but kept Setanta.

Everytime I get up that early for FFC we give up some early goal and I end up wishing i had stayed in bed- come Friday night I am sure I will be setting the alarm though.

would have prefered a prem team to be honest, these championship teams play like it's there cup final!
i think we will sneak a 2-1 win, however, a draw would not upset me!

Realistically, I think I expect Roy to play for a 0-0 draw and a replay at the Cottage.

I hope Roy doesn't. With two matches in hand already, all we need is another mid-week fixture with two mids injured, two not yet match fit, and one who is one yellow away from suspension.

Take a weak squad and get it done one way or the other on Saturday.
