This is not an American lad that you hear a lot about. He hasn't gotten a full cap from us, but has featured at U-17 and U-21 and, when healthy, is a starting CB with Millwall. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zak_Whitbread The reason I'm posting this is that he got the winning goal in today's FA Cup match at Crewe. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id= ... FA&cc=5901 Interestingly, you don't read that until the last sentence of the writeup.
I'm apparently the only person who cares about Zak, but his great season with Millwall has sparked some interest -- unfortunately, not from Bob Bradley. http://www.yanks-abroad.com/get.php?mod ... nt&id=4863
Wasn 't Millwall the team that the Kray twins supported? I can't think of them without some sinister music playing in my head?
Millwall, only club I know of that is currently more infamous for their off the pitch conduct, than that on the pitch. Come on, Don. I bet you have a good story about some Luton bloke taking a steel pipe to the kisser from some Millwall supporter.
can't understand why he hasn't been called up for the Gold Cup. They've added 7 more spots apparently so maybe he will.
