Gracias to Mike, LBno11, and Don for reports and the goals. Even the soccernet gamecast went down for most of the second half....and I'm with you HD on the Witch Report, sorely missed.

EDIT: WB coming through w/the goods.

AJ was onsides because the onside rule only comes into play if the ball is passed forward. While AJ was behind all of the Wigan players, he was also behind (or at worst, even with) the ball.

Oh, dearie me; I'd love to see it!

I almost corpsed when he called Papa Bouba Diop "a bit of a pansy, really" during the Pompey game. He is one of England's treasures.

Re Gentleman Jim. I LOVE his commentary and his passion. If you weren't brought up in UK some of his lines might not mean much to you. But there was one real classic on Wednesday: "Not even Alf Tupper would have reached that one". Alf Tupper was a comic strip character in the 60's in England, known as "The Tough of the Track" - a working class runner who used to work all night, have a breakfast of fish and chips and proceed to blaze around the running track, leaving all the 'university types' in his trail. Love it.
