yeah: quick, fast, strong, smart, single-minded. I used to hate defending assholes like that.

I tell you, every time I see this kid I am more impressed. Roll on SA 2010!

I saw this article too. It's about time we had a young player with this much confidence on our national team. Charlie is really turning into something. Can't wait for him and Jozy to have their "true" coming out party on the world stage next year!

WC2014. Charlie will be 28, Jozy will be 24 and both will have 5 more years of experience under their belts. :wow:

Nothing good happens at 3 in the morning. Stunned and saddened and praying.

I'm not sure I'd agree with the blanket statement, but clearly nothing good happens when you're driving fast enough to split a car clean in half at 3 in the morning.

This is really sad, all in all.

Granted, things are much, much different in NYC (I've been up till the sunrise on several instance theres and hardly noticed; in Bmore bars close 1:30 which really means 1am), but unless you're hanging out with a few close friends shooting the s-h-i-t on a porch or in a kitchen, there's really no reason to be up at that hour.

And sadly this reveals a side of athletes that we only hear about when tragic things happen. What other profession can you be up, but not working, at 3am on a Monday morning and potentially not worry about repercussions?

    Really, really hope Davies recovers.

ESPN reporting talk of a broken fibia and tibia. However, given the surgery has been at least 5 hours it has got to be much more or very complicated. One of those days you wish could be like Ground Hog's Day - done over until everything turns out right.

BC will know best, but I believe this is not the first surgery on his legs. Multiple surgeries equals not good chances of full recovery for Our Recent Supernova.

Meanwhile, none of that holds a candle to the loss of life of what in all due respects was some family's little girl and daughter. The word "tragic" is completely overused, but what else do you call this?

At first I did not like this comment Don, but as I get my wits about me I'm not just praying that Charlie can play again, but I am hoping that he doesnt have to face the prospect of jail time. Very little info is coming out so you have to wonder given the circumstances. No reports on the third passenger but I am cetainly praying for her.
