Sigi was irrate and so was Hesmer. Was there a foul somewhere in the mix that I did not see because Hesmer did not look he was fouled?

Another big win for the Crew without GBS. Rogers played well again but I hope he keeps working on the shot from distance. Chad Marshall was easily the MOM and a rock in the back. The Rev's should have quit playing the ball into the box in the air because if it was up it was Marshall's.

I didn't get to see this match, but I'm glad to see that there's others out there who are impressed with Marshall. I think he's a quality footballer.

I had never seen Marshall before this season mostly because he has been hampered by concussions throughout his carrer. I honestly believe Marshall has been the best defender in the MLS as this season has progressed. There are some good MLS defenders like Soumare with Chicago and Parkhurst with the Rev's but I am not sure there is a more complete defender in the league. He is dangerous on set plays, dominant in the air and more often than not has been in the right position to cut out dangerous plays. I sometimes wonder if GBS or Marshall is the Crew MVP for the season.

    Frankie Hejduk's Day Off

Sigi: "Alright guys! We have a MASSIVE statement to make here tonight. We have a sellout crowd for the first time in 4 years, we're on National SportsBar TV with HDNet, so who wants to make the pregame speech?"

    "Hejduk?..... Hejduk....... Anyone seen Hejduk?"

    Impossible.

Mo, on the worst day you will ever have you still are miles more better looking than Hejduk.

Oh... did I mention MASSIVE shut out the leagues best offense and won.

    Various comments from Galaxians:

"How scary is it that Noonan, Ekpo, and O'Rourke come off the bench for these guys"

"Figures! Ex Galaxy player scores winning goal on us!"

{pregame} "If Padula plays like he did at Forest, we're gonna score big"

    Postgame from Crew Fan:
After the game my ten year old looks up and quite innocently asks about Becks:

"Is that it? I thought he was supposed to be something special."

    - Well, he is.. but how would you know.

Chad Marshall was once again MMOM in my opinion. Teams trying to cross the ball in the air against the Crew have looked toothless as Marshall has cut out that scoring route.

    *Massive Man Of Match

    Frankie's fan-a-mania noticed in London

Hejduk's supporter sojourn makes the Telegraph..yes THAT Telegraph. Columbus Crew's Frankie Hejduk shows how to captain your side, MLS-style
There's more. Quite a nice piece.

What a guy. He's never lost the laid-back surfer thing off the pitch and that fire in the eyes intensity on it.

    Good lad.

    WSD: Sigi interview

I quit listening to these idiots a long time ago, there's always the same stuff to fill 'air time' but their interviews are something else.
    {Sorta like Hannity, that way.}

Sigi at 1:01:00 and lasts for twenty some minutes
    - I find it simpler to just download and play the thing than use the sidebar player which seems spotty at best.

He covers the 'lost season', GBS, the key players incl a lot on Rogers, and how he feels about LA Galaxy losing out again.

It is really funny that you would say, "I quit listening to these idiots a long time ago..."

Kind of like how I stopped reading anything that you write that is not football related... filling 'air time!' Give me a break! How many thousands of hours have you spent reading and typing ultra right wing mumbo-jumbo?

    And I am a conservative!

Anyway... Congrats to Columbus for being MLS champions. What a turn-around and a great thing for the fans!

I don't why but I am amazed at the lack of acknowledgement the Crew have received for winning the Supporters Shield. Congrats to the Crew on a fine season! Personally I view winning the Supporters Shield to be a bigger accomplishment than winning the MLS Cup.

Yeah.. right! You forgot "Concerned Christian.."

And if you read me you didnt READ ME. Because i'm far from Ultra right wing. I leaver that to your buddies Ron Paul and Buchanan
Sure is... I love em and got my fingers crossed! Oh, how could we have doubted Sigi!
