Jay Rodriguez scored the winner. Despite his name, he was born in Burnley. I was afraid he was yet another Mexican international among the goals today.

Regardless of what SOCCERNET said we were

Zuberbuhler; Stoor, Baird, Kallio, PK; Dempsey, Andranik, Andreassen, Gera; Seol, AJ at the start.

I think I was the only person with audio, and it sounded to me that we never really established outselves in midfield. Seol, AJ, and PK missed good chances set up by Dempsey, and PK had a cracker of a free kick sayved by them. Burnley always looked like scoring after the first 15 minutes of the match.

Good news? Roy used three substitutes, including young Rob Milsom. Bad news? no more CC to contend for.

Oh hey imagine that -- another goal in the 80th minute.

I really want a cup run, just once in awhile.

That is really disappointing. I hate to be the worry-wort, but it does not look good if our B side can't beat a CCC team. We better hope we don't have too many injuries throughout the season.

Granted, how often has our B side seen the field in an actual match? Regardless, I am disappointed by the result and feel let down by the side.

Kind of bummed out by this result. I was hoping the non-regulars would pull through.
I had read that Fulham hasn't won at Turf Moor since 1951. Would have been nice to end that streak.
On the bright side, at least Dempsey, Leon, Seol and the rest of the bench crew were able to get a decent run-out.

Based on the report on the offal, Dempsey had a good game and Gera didn't have a strong one - could mean a start for Dempsey on Saturday at LM.

Not holding my breath either, but Gera has played every minute of every game so far (edit: almost, forgot he was subbed yesterday). I think he could use a rest on Saturday, we'll see what Roy thinks.

One thing that came out in the Offal report is that all of Burnley's attacks were coming down Gera's side, not Dempsey's. From that (and the comments I posted on earlier), I took it that Dempsey was better both offensively and defensively.

It DID sound as if they were torching both Gera and PK. They had a lot of right side crosses into the penalty area.
