    Fulhamish - cringe inducing pleasure

Now that might not make sense in the context that we use fulhamish but its the best I can come up with. Any other attempts? Comments?

I fear the relationship between Fulham and Fulhamish is far more complicate. The context in which it is used dictates the meaning.

Stating up last season was every bit as Fulhamish as when we lost to Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup. When we sacked Micky Adams for getting us promoted on a shoe-string budget, or for that matter buying Lee Cook and him not playing a game - that too is Fulhamish. Not being able to punch our way out of a paper bag and then beating Villa from a goal down.

I would say that Fulhamish is:

    1. the ability to balance the vast quantity of bad things by a smaller, but infinitely more powerful, good things.
    2. any of the bad things that occur that require balancing.
    3. any of the infinitely more powerful good things that are used to balance.

Of course, it is only 10:30am UK time and I've not had a drink yet so I may not be making any sense!

Fulhamish is like pornography, I know it when I see it.

Drawing at home 0-0 to Derby Frickin' County -- Fulhamish.

Blowing a 2-1 lead in the reverse fixture -- Fulhamish.

Boa Morte's goal against Man U a few years ago -- Fulhamish with a bullet.

The road Man City game was Fulhamish to the nth degree, especially the penalty (shouldn't have been given), Murphy missing the kick, and banging in the rebound. All done the hard way, all on the margins of probability.

Oh, Fulham 6 Norwich 0, on a day when Norwich had it all to play for -- Fulhamish.

You make a good point GBFC and I admit there really could be no one or even any number of definitions for fulhamish. Which is why I enjoy Steve's examples so much.

Does anyone remember a Chas & Dave song called 'Thats what I like?', or even Ian Dury's 'Reasons to be Cheerful'? We need a song along similar lines called Fulhamish! If Chas & Dave weren't Spurs fans they would be perfect for it! LOL
