...well, not exactly, but while driving home on the loop here in San Antonio I did pass a truck with an Ipswich Town badge sticker in the back window. I've gotta figure that's at least as rare.

Better to see that than what I saw on the west side of Cleveland a few days ago -- a car with an Arsenal flag propped up for all the world to see  I have a Fulham scarf across the back of my car wondow, I have no way of knowing if he saw it or not.

Saw a Manchester United "wrapped" SUV around these parts just the other day. Not as much of the wow factor as Ipswich, but someone is committed.

    Or a misled glory-hunter.

I've seen Deportivo Cali - a Columbian team - stickers on some cars here. I know NJ is diverse, but Deportivo Cali fans? It surprised me a bit.

In the reverse, I found this article.

I know that R anywhere! Wayne Rooney knows where college football was born!

Actually, with SA being an Air Force city, and with both RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall not all that far from Ipswich, I guess it wouldn't be as surprising as, say, a Carlisle United sticker.

Not to hijack, but has ANYBODY ever seen ANYTHING related to Portsmouth on a car or shirt or anything in the states? They must be the only Premiership side with no stateside support!

I am a train conductor here in Boston and see a lot of people every day. If I do see anyone related stuff it is usually ManU or Arsenal and on occasion an Irish rugby shirt. Though while walking through the city one time I did see a Mass license plates that said INTER, and they had a sticker or two as well.

All I see are Club America, Pachuca, and Guadalajara shirts, blankets, hats etc. Well I also see the odd Milan, Barca, and ManUre fare that you would normally see. I'm going to feel odd with my new Fulham and Sounders kits

I saw they have a fan club at Nevada Smith's, that's about all.

Also, I ran into a "bloke" in an Arsenal shirt when they were away at Portsmouth, and he told me it's not a bad town. I've seen enough American military cities to know they ain't much to look at, unless you like car stereo stores, barbershops, used car dealerships financing E-1s and up, dry cleaners, military surplus stores, etc., and I figured that military towns on the other side of the pond weren't much different. Any thoughts?

Actually, most of the USAF bases in England [all of which were/are RAF bases] were/are located primarily in rural areas of East Anglia [this was to facilitate the bombing of Germany in WWII -- "the big one"]. Many are still fairly rural and not too shabby in the surrounding area. Not to get "too blue" on you, Steve, but I think you'll find that the off-base areas near USAF bases are a little less sleazy than those near Army bases. Not saying why; just saying. I can't speak for Navy bases; the only one I ever served on was on an island in the Aleutians. There was no civilian community nearby.

Driving south of Boston today I saw a Bolton Wanderers sticker on a car, that made me do a double take.

Don, since the Chuck Culpepper book came out - you'll see an uptick in Pompey support here, I bet.

I have patients from Ipswich - they follow Ipswich Town, but I don't know who else would.

The coolest is the family from Togo - the love to talk about Adebayor. Here's hoping he jumps to Barca this summer....

If you see a car driving around Dallas with an FFC and FCD sticker, it's me :D
