NBA off-season

Screw the finals. It's over and I'm looking forward to next season. Tell us what you want your team to look like next season. Or post rumors about players being traded or whatever.


This is my LA starting 5.



Farmar-Bryant-Artest-Bynum-Gasol.

That's about as dominant as it gets. Bynum took 3 season to become the player he is and next season will be Farmars 3rd. He's gonna be solid next season and better than Fisher. However, keeping Fisher is key for this team. Remember he's the only player Kobe trusts. Gotta keep him.

If we had Artest, we win the title this season. Pierce isn't going off for 38 points against Artest. I think this is the move the Lakers HAVE to make in order to take the next step.

Bynum will comeback a better players and remember Gasol will also be trained by Kareem so he'll be better as well. This SHOULD be the most dominant front-court maybe in the history of the NBA, however they BOTH need to stop being soft. Bynum was learning this, now it's Gasols turn to learn that instead of going for a lay-up throw it down.


If we make the Artest move and Bynum and Farmar come back better players, we're un-beatable. If we keep Odom, we're gonna lose again in the finals.

 

Dominant?? Gasol is dominant? Let me give you a bit of advise....I live in the Memphis area...i work part time at the fedex forum where the grizzlies play and i have watched Gasol play for the last several years here....close up. He is a very skilled offensive player but he is a liability on the defensive end and as a Laker fan you will come regret that you are paying this guy 15 million a year because as he has shown during these NBA Finals....he is soft!! He will be curled up in the fetal position on the baseline and will be checking himself for blood in no time. Pau is soft period. Hate to burst your bubble....but you need someone at the 4 who can play defense to win the title...bynum can't play D at both positions on the floor at the same time.

 

If you haven't noticed, I've been calling Gasol mr softy the past few weeks. He can be dominant though as his 36 point performance in his first game for the Lakers showed. He'll learn from Kareem. I was mostly talking about how dominant the entire starting 5 would be. Good defense and good offense=Dominance.

 

Shoot i coulda had 20 against the defense they played against him in his 36 point game. If you play any kind of defense against him he will fold like a lawn chair. when I see him get manhandled by Luis Scola....several times....i just can't describe him as dominant. Good offensive player...Yes.
