I voted for Simon Davies. From start to finish, he was there for Fulham and I feel that McBride knows how much he mean to us as does Jimmy Bullard but I don't think Simon realizes how much we appreciate him.

    One Vote: Simon

You can make an argument for some of the other candidates, but Simon Davies is the player of the year...2 votes

I want to say its mcbride or bullard because without their return we would not have stayed up. Davies played great all year, but without those two it would not have mattered. Since Mcbride started the year and we were ok before he was injured I think I will pick Mcbride over Bullard. I just get the feeling it was his leadership that made the difference in the end. A long way to get to a one word answer, but my pick is Mcbride.

Davies by far. Honorable mentions to Hughes and Dempsey, though Hangeland probably would have been my choice had he played all season.

The last time I voted was in Texas' Democratic primary. Then I had to choose whether to be racist or sexist. Here, there is no choice for me: Simon Davies -- our own Welsh Wizard. Here's to ya, SuperTaffy!

Oh, and once again with THREE yanks on the ballot, most of us are going for the Welshman. This is something hardly anybody on the Official Site would believe.

When exactly do they name the POY?? I assumed it would be pretty early in the preseason or do they wait until the first home match?

The story is a little short for my liking. When you watch the higlight reel of "The Great Escape" it's amazing that Simon only got 8 assists. It's hard to find an attacking move that he wasn't a big part of. I'm glad Cookie signed him and Sanchez didn't send him packing. He's a good lad with a good engine.
