Lieberman-Warner bill about to do that with Carbon Cap and Trade.

THIS folks, is what's really behind all the Al Gore bullshit!

Just in case you were just hatched....

There IS NO #$#@@!$@$ carbon-caused Global Warming!!!

And unfortunately we dont have ONE leading politician willing to assert that!

And why would that be? If there's definitive proof of your statement, how could they NOT make that assertion? In the face of overwhelming scientific evidence, nobody would stand up in public and say that there was?

I must have missed the scholarly article that said that there's no connection between carbon and global warming. Perphaps all 535 members of Congress missed it, too. Along with the television coverage of this scientific breakthrough.

So, what's the answer, 'fog? You have a Republican and a half sponsoring that bill. What's up?

I been pointing it out since I've been posting on the subject, Don. I'm not going to repeat it all here.

There is global warming.. to an extent. Except now it's cooling.
We didnt cause it, for ONE thing because the contribution of CO2 by man is a miniscule percentage.
Second, because warming forces CO2 more than the other way around. Explains that CO2 graph lagging global temps.

Martian caps are melting and Jovian atmospheric changes BOTH point to warming.

Follow the MONEY!!!! But ...MORE AND MORE evident... FOLLOW THE POWER!

There is neither money or power in saying "It is what it is!"

But there ARE plenty of real scientists in the field say we're going overboard.

the sound you hear is Pettyfog giggling with delight:

Here's my favorite Mitch McConnell quote of the month [so far]:

Yeah, and we all know what the New Deal did to the American economy and how it undid all the good that a Republican president and Congress had done for the country.

Oh, and 'fog. Thanks for taking back "there is no carbon-based global warming" in your previous post. There's a huge difference between "miniscule" and "no." As in, "you have a miniscule amount of brain cancer" as opposed to "you have no brain cancer."

Look don... I have no freakin idea why you insist of drinking every glob of kool aid that the politicians set up.. you've been reading my posts on this all along. Why do you just want to yank my chain?

I'm saying that manmade CO2 emissions have such a small effect on the global climate that it might as well be none. Further I am saying that if we cut our CO2 emissions by 2/3, it wouldnt do a damn thing to change the course of warming.

Further, I'm saying that there is NOT a concensus of all the leading 'scientists' that man is causing it. In fact there's a list of 31,000 who dispute the 'conventional Gore meme'. That list will match trade for trade and degree for degree, the names on Gore's list ... meaning that many of them dont really have a clue either.

So guess what... when it comes down to the nitty gritty, you have to wonder if just plain old common sense ought to prevail instead of providing free jet-aways, lining politicians pockets, and provided lab time for legions of geeks .. which in the end will result in a stack of papers reaching halfway to the moon .. and STILL not real conclusion.

But I am operating out of common sense.

HOWEVER... I'm all in favor of the new technical and scientific advances being made to reduce CO2 emissions. The reason being that it's better to emit as little of anything as possible... but it should not disrupt commerce and society.
