So the Nets are out of the Dwight Howard race. This was after they were supposed to get a deal done. So the Lakers are now favorites, right? Wrong, they were favorites, but the Magic don't like Bynum. Now the Rockets are favorites and they are even thinking of amnesty Scola to get a deal done. Holy shit, a trade needs to happen. Please?

Bynum is a better offensive center than Howard. Kupchak needs to focus on signing some shooters to come off the bench and maybe getting a starting small forward. Screw the Howard trade.

You're not alone in hating the Lakers. Everybody here does, except for me. It's ok, I can point to all of the banners up in Staples and laugh at everybody. Actually Heather likes the Celtics sobi can't laugh at her team......yet.

The newest rumor is that the Cavs are in the three team trade mix in the Dwight deal. They would get Bynum while the Lakers would get Dwight. Since this is about the millionth rumor involving Dwight, I have no clue how true this is. At this point, there could be two months before a deal is done.

Let's say this happened and the Cavs get Bynum and he signs an extension there. They give up all of their picks next year and take back the Jason Richardson contract. All of a sudden, you can see where the Cavs are right back in it. They now have a star PG with the best offensive center in the game. If Waiters is any good then you have a big three and I haven't even talked about Thompson yet. So you have a great team going forward and are right up there for the most promising team in the NBA.

In actual news, the Lakers signed Antawn Jamison. Love the signing. Great backup PF who can get you 10 a game off the bench.

The Lakers get Dwight Howard! The deal was finally done and they sent Bynum to Philadelphia, the Sixers send Igodoula to Denver and the Magic get three protected first round picks, Moe Harkless, Al Harrington and Aaron Afflalo. So not a great deal for Orlando, but amazing deals for the Lakers and The Sixers.

There is also talk of Chris Duhon and Earl Clark coming to LA. If that happens then we upgraded our backup PG position and I think Clark is going to be a very good backup. Mitch continues to work his Magic and there's no doubt he's the best GM in the league.

I know I wasn't too happy about trading Bynum, but after getting Nash we needed better defense in the frontcourt and Howard provides that. So we are a much better team now and should be favorites for the title.
