The good thing about the Seattle-Charleston Semi-Final is that we are guaranteed to have one USL team in the final.

I went to the final at RFK stadium this evening. A dissapointing 8,200 fans attended, but the La Barra Brava/Screaming Eagles combo was amazing and loud the entire game.

As for the game, it was entertaining. Both DC goals were a result of unbelievable passes. Fred's goal in the second half came from an amazing pass from Clyde Simms. I am convinced that was not meant to be a pass because it was simply amazing (at least from where I was sitting), and I did not think Clyde Simms could do that.

Rather nicely, after the game, the entire United team went over and celebrated with LBB/SE's. It was a lot of fun, aside from the disappointing crowd. A good final IMO. Charleston played very well and gave DC a good game.

It was a great game. What LBB and SE lack in numbers lack in numbers they make up for it in passion. I love it every time I see them (one of the few supporters groups you are able to see for most of the game on tv). A constantly undulating mass of black with flags waving and people chanting the entire game. Other groups should learn from them.

Missed this one in favor of coaching my daughters rec team. Glad to hear it was a good game. 2-1 seems like a fitting end for this seasons Open Cup.

I was at the game as well and was dissapointed by the low fan turnout. This is the USA's version of the FA Cup and the game is midweek and not advertised!? Get it together people.

I thought the Battery outplayed United for most of the game. United were stagnant until Fred came in off the bench. Credit to the Battery and the 400 fans that bussed up, mid-week, for the game.
