Baxter's Heparin debacle

    Here is what I don't get. While the FDA has regulatory authority over drug companies, what about the drug company itself? They buy the stuff, and then sell it. Baxter is a huge company. Don't they test product before shipping? Especially since they ultimately are resonsible for it. Shouldn't they be asking questions and inspecting the mfg. partners they align themselves with before doing business and as a routine part of doing business? What a sad story.

    It's adding to the uneasy feeling that China is hell-bent on poisoning us. Which, because I believe even Commies act in a relatively rational manner, doesnt make sense.
