OK, my stomach is starting to do flip flops.

I'll trust Woy's lineup sensibilities, as long as Kamara is at least on the bench -- play the hot hand in the group. And KK in the sticks, speaking of hot hands.

This is such a winnable game, I don't even want to contemplate the alternatives. Brum leaks goals, here's hoping their generosity continues.

No predictions, I don't want to jinx anything, just a COYW and I'm behing the boys.

A little sidebar -- I just talked to a tech support person for my company who told me she was in Ireland, and couldn't believe she was talking to a big footy fan in the States. She was really surprised when I told her my favorite team was Fulham. So we chatted about a few other things other than the work topic at hand, like what a dirtball organization CSKA London is, and her hopes for trophies this year -- she was a Man United fan, that's OK, she was nice enough. She also talked about how much she disliked Roy Keane, which I thought was interesting. We also discussed if England could get rid of John Terry, who would be stuipid enough to take him? She said Keane was too typically Irish -- look at him cross eyed and he'd kick your ass. (Would Alf Haaland agree?) She couldn't believe there were a large contingent of Fulham fans in the States, Fulham being a relatively small club. So, she hopes we avoid relegation. I sure wasn't expecting to talk to an Irish footy fan when I called tech support.

    St. Louis - Tigin Pub

Attention St. Louisans: Tigin, an Irish pub downtown, will be open and showing the game on Saturday morning. I'll be there at 9:00 a.m.

The pub is in the Hampton Inn, and I fear it may be filled with Cub fans in town for the weekend series with the Cards. But my desire to see the Fullham match will overcome my reluctance to associate with Cub fans.

have people noticed the lack of predictions or proposed line-ups. Is everyone too nervous to think that hard?

Anyone have the scoop on B'ham? I seem to remember Nafti as giving us trouble the last game. Who's their biggest scoring threat. How do you rate their D and Keeper?

McFadden is dangersous enough just look what he did in the EURO qualifiers, Zarate has a youthful energy that he brings to the side and the kid can finish, Jerome is physical and has some pace to get past defenders, Forssell has found his shooting form as well.

Lets leave it at they have the talent to score, but I think the Whites will be up for the challenge.

    Up the Fulham.

    Interesting tidbits from the BBC:

Birmingham have not lost a league game on Fulham turf, since the Cottagers' 2-0 victory in the old Second Division on Boxing Day 1968.

Fulham's last home top-flight maximum over Blues was 3-1 on 2 September 1964.

    Fulham v. Birmingham [R]

Oh, great, I see that ChicagoTom predicts us to win.

If I ever want to become rich, I'll have Tom make a few sports predictions, then bet the opposite. I noticed on the BBC site that Lawro also has us pegged to win.

    We are doomed.

I'm reading TOM's post, and it makes it sound like they are a quality side, and then I read nevzter and they apparently don't lose at the Cottage but let's be honest, with those players, they have sucked as bad as we have over the season, so they can't be that good to where we should be worried. For cripes sake, we have beaten Villa, Everton, Citeh, crushed Reading and went toe-to-toe with Blackburn in the last 1/4 of the season, so we can beat these guys! No need to be nervous.......ok well maybe I am little as well but these guys are shite!

Re: RE: Fulham v. Birmingham [R]

I know my write up on the attacking players of Birmingham seems daunting, but I am still hopeful. To be honest, only Zarate and McFadden really worry me. The others are just opportunists.

Those are great wins by Fulham RR, I must agree. Lets come back to reality though. This is a Fulham side who has failed to win against Derby, Wigan, Boro and Sunderland the entire season, got waxed by Spurs 5-1 and have given away their fair share of points in the final 10 minutes of a match. Fulham and Birmingham is an even match on paper and in terms of talent. Should be a great match.

    COYW's, Lets Get 3!!!

Good work, seeing Murphy's perfect pass never gets old. Let's hope that the lads get a chance against your namesake's new club to stay up.

TOM, I did forget to mention the Derby draw, losses to Sunderland, and getting it handed to us by a Newcastle side that was down at that time (I did that on purpose ;-=) . I'm with you. I just think they are as flawed as we are, even though they do have some good players,......so I am hopeful.
