    From Sky Sports yesterday:
Birmingham City's co-owner David Sullivan and managing director Karren Brady have been arrested in connection to an on-going investigation into football corruption, according to Sky News sources.

Birmingham face a relegation battleSky News Crime correspondent Martin Brunt said both senior club figures had been questioned over the transfer of a French footballer, Amdy Faye, currently at Charlton Athletic FC.

City of London police have confirmed they questioned a 59-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting.

A spokeswoman said the pair have been released on bail.

    And now just this morning:

"Birmingham City officials have asked for the football club's shares to be temporarily suspended "pending an announcement" later. "

    Relegate them I say!

mIkey, is that a possibility? Can they indeed be docked 10 points for hankypanky? Or will that, like with West Ham, be "too rough on their fans?"

Fuck their fans! What about us???

...although when I put it that way, relegating Birmingham and keeping us in the Prem for another year may be to harsh on Fulham fans.

    Up Fulham!!!

Swindon Town were relegated to the 3rd division after winning the 2nd for making illegal payments in the early 90's, on appeal Swindon were allowed to keep their place in the second division, but they were denied a promotion to the top flight.

I think the league would be unwilling to relegate Birmingham for financial irregularity even if a successful prossecutions were bought against the Porn King and Mrs Peschisolido. The only hope Fulham would have is if the club became insolvent as a result and went into administration.

We would probably run out of time for the ruling to take effect and save us anyhow - besides, we don't deserve to stay up and I am not sure it is in the best interests of the club right now.
