The Winner Is ...

    Well, this morning our alternative newspaper's music edition came out, and The Current reports that the residents of the nation's 8th largest city have just elected The Tim and Bob Show as San Antonio's best "cover band." Check out the link about half-way down the page. There's a picture and everything!

    We're still awaiting the poll of the local non-alternative paper, which should come out next month. Meanwhile, Steve and I have about 8-10 original numbers ready to record. We're hoping to have enough money to get about 4 recording sessions and get a CD out by fall. When we do, I'm gonna nag you suckers to death!

    In the meantime [in between time] allow the old fat guy a chorus line of dancing bananas in honor of The Tim and Bob Show!

    Naw, that wasn't us. SXSW isn't for the likes of us. These guys actually have a future in the business.

    Thanks for your congrats, by the way. The number of electrons that have been excited beyond reason since I found out the results of the poll this morning is too huge to consider. Just the emails among the four of us in the last hour will keep DHS busy for a month.

    Aaaaaah, music is a vice I will never give up.
    And trying to stay at least somewhat current on what is happening with younger generations will hopefully prevent me from becoming a premature curmudgeon who sits around in a remote cow-town blogging far right websites for obscure kernels of references to liberal conspiracies against the MLS.

    Congrats HD. I hope that I can hear you guys play someday. Maybe we can arrange some sort of soccer/music extravaganza in Texas someday. Perhaps a tribute to the right honorable Dempsey, Ching, HatterDon, etc. Just a thought.

    Thanks, Mo. I'd love to meet more of the FUSA crowd. I'm not sure we play Deuce's sort of music, but his parents would probably dig us.

    Congrats Don and the rest of the band. Like Papa Wood ever had a chance. The only problem I'm having is every time I glance at the award I think the statue is going to tell me "not to squezze the Charmin"
