Anybody follow MMA? This has been a very recent thing for me. Started to watch some of the fights on HDNET and fell in love.

I was going to order the Silva vs Sonnen fight, but decided against it at the last minute. Thank God I did as Sonnen lost in the second round by TKO. Sounds like Sonnen dominated the first round, but got a knee to the chest in the second round after slipping from an attempt at a spinning back fist.

I watched the prelims and a lot was said of Melvin Guillard. I know he won, but I wasn't impressed at all. I was impressed with that Greek boxer Costas Philippou as he dominated his fight. Got caught with fingers in his eye and all it did was piss him off.

If anybody is interested, we could use this thread to talk about the various fights going on around the world. It's a new passion for me and I hope to learn more about the sport.
