Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesss! Beautiful goal by Jimmy Bullard on free kick at the last minute.
1-1 (the previous Rovers'goal should be disallowed for clear faul of Pedersen on Stalteri).
Probably it won't be enough to avoid relegation but Jimmy deserved a satisfaction.

Han-Solo, come into the chatroom next time, pard. We'd be glad to get an Italian slant on our performance!

Bullard is something else. What a great goal. Unfortunately Reading won so our slim hopes of survival are fading quickly. Regardless, Bullard is a class act and a great player.

Oh, and Pettyfog. That little bit of clip art in the left column -- you know the one that now shows Everton's badge -- that tells ALL OF US when the next match is and who's covering it!

    Sheesh!

    JIM BULLARD BULLARD
    HE'S BETTER THAN STEVE GERRARD
    HE'S THINNER THAN FRANK LAMPARD
    JIM BULLARD BULLARD

I feel a lot better about this draw than most others this year. I'm biased, but I still have hope of avoiding the drop. Bolton is 18th, their game in hand is against Man U at Old Trafford, Brum will lose at Fratton Park on Wednesday, at least we gained ground, all is not lost.

Keller in between the sticks for the rest of the year, EJ improved as the game went on, I hope Andreasen is wearing white next year regardless of what happens, bring on Everton.

Fantastic goal by Bullard again!!! And I think we were robbed again. Defenders just dont go down like that. Hodgson played the match well I think. Also, I've changed my mind about Johnson. I have never really thought much of him but I do now. I know he made a lot of mistakes but he had more dangerous chances than I've seen any player this year have. He has something to do with that and I do believe he will start finishing his chances. That being said there was some beautiful passing by Davies.

Also, the announcers were total crap. To actually say I dont know what else the ref expects him (forget who it was) to do on the dangerous play? It's not Fulham's fault that he was out of position, that he was beat and had to do a dangerous kick. The announcer acted as if the game was decided on that play.

After today, I at least think we will go down in style . . . and because of the officiating.

and, if anyone can challenge my knowledge of football talent and tactics, it can't be anyone who was in the chatroom this morning. After all, it was I who:

    a. said that Morten Gamst Pedersen hAd suffered a huge loss of form and was pretty much crap

    AND

    b. complained that Bullard shouldn't be taking all the free kicks.

Well not bad. Glad we all got to watch it on TV. Type of result that would have been fantastic at anytime in the last two years but at this point is probably to little to late. I see at least one of the teams we have some chance of catching won again today. Just hope for the best.

Fulham should have won 3-0. The Blackburn goal was preceded by a clear foul and there were not one but TWO clear penalties in the Blackburn box (the pouncing on Dempsey and Healy). At this point, I'm starting to think its an anti-MAF conspiracy; that was purely awful officiating.

Well...they played like they had some heart, at least. Definitely not the soggy blanket we saw last week. I know a draw is not enough, and the Reading win took the wind out of my sails a bit; however, I've decided to stay positive. Kinda feel like I am backing the Bad News Bears of footie!

Did anyone catch Bullard's sassy little wink before he kicked his goal?

    I **heart** him.

Terri- I saw the wink too, I mentioned it to my friend & laughed when he did it.
Somebody tell Johnson to stay on his feet, if I want to see flopping I'll watch the Mexican League...

Geoff, sorry I forgot the words.

Does anyone else think Boca would've won the header on Pedersen's goal?

My wife of all people proclaimed during the first half, "If Johnson keeps falling on his back that easily he's going to have to get a job working a street corner!"

I was far more impressed with his second half effort.

Danny Murphy deserves a lot more credit than anyone here is giving him. Sorry.

Murphy, Konchesky and Bullard are the only ones doing anything even remotely creative on the field.

after a mixed bag of results this weekend (wigan drawing is bad, reading winning is horrible for us) this coming wednesday is going to be HUGE

Brum at Pompey, Boro at Villa. If Bolton were also playing it would be the definition of March Madness.

Things are glum, but after next weekend the last spectres of hope will either be wholly gone or remain even stronger.
