Obama, Clinton reach out to Syria

I warned a few weeks ago that the most worrisome aspect to Obama as President was his choice of foreign policy advisor: Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Why does it take a cheap tabloid to point this out?

Brzezinski, as National Security Advisor, was an architect of Jimmy Carter's foreign policy and certainly responsible for Carter's response to the Iranian Embassy hijacking, which prior to the incident was almost universally recognized as an Act of War.

Thus he established a precedent for a long string of virtual diplomatic defeats, which, contrary to liberal moanings, REALLY established the Image of America in the middle east.. 'A paper tiger with no taste for blood'. Defeats referred to by the way in bin Laden's fatwa's. Every subsequent adminstration, then followed the precedent set by Brzezinski.

That Brzezinski can piously mew that 'Syria.. is interested in the stability of the Middle East', at the same time hundreds of thousands of Lebanese go into the streets to observe the third anniversary of Hariri's assassination, which Syria was responsible for, and at the same time the long overdue killing, in Syria, of one of the biggest terrorists of the last 25 years is interesting.

We remember the LAST time Democrats visited Assad. Pelosi wore a hijab and, immediately after she left, Assad clamped down hard on internal dissent.. particularly on the Internet.. and they havent come back.

And since Assad {rather his puppeteers} controls virtually everything that goes on in Syria... isnt it interesting that a top Syrian/Hezbollah Cleric immediately declares war on Israel at the Terror Psychopath's funeral.

So I dont want to hear that it's time for change in middle east policy when the 'change' seems to mean reverting to Carter's Idiocies.

UPDATE: Iran's Foreign Minister flies in the next day. The Article says it's to offer to help track down whoever murdered the Peace-Loving Martyr.
I'm sure nothing about the American's visit was discussed of course. Because IRNA doesnt mention it.
