LA: US v. Mexico Viewing - 2-6-08 - 6:00pm

This might be my first post, but I've been reading this site for a long time and just signed up for the message board last week. I'm a big US Soccer fan, thus my love of Fulham. 8)

I was wondering if any Los Angelenos on the site were planning on going to a bar to watch this USMNT game tonight. I have a group of about five or six that is deciding where we'll spend the night, with The Fox and Hounds in Studio City the most likely destination.

Will there be any other Fulham supporters there? If not, will they be at a more fun/non-valley bar?

First off welcome patbooyah, glad to hear from yet another LA area fan.

I live at the 57/60 freeway interchange, so making it to Studio City at that time is an impossiblity. There are a couple of posters who live close to the Fox and Hounds, so if they are going anywhere that'll be the place. If you and your friends want to go to Hermosa look under the pub guide for the address to The Underground, quite a few people on here recommend that bar.

As for me I'll be the "Lone Gringo" hosting a few friends who all were born here, but root for the tri-color (my wife being the lone mexican-american cheering for the US). Needless to say I hope the fun I've had during the last few matches contiunes.

i'll probably just hike up to studio city - getting to hermosa from silverlake could take forever.

thank god LA is so spread out that one has to drive everywhere - really makes going to a pub fun!

 

the fox and hounds is a good place to take in a match. i've been there a few times this season.

unfortunately, i'm at work until 6 on the westside, so will not be making it out (have my tivo at home ready to record).

enjoy! and be sure to post here if you're headed out again in coming weeks. i'm 10 minutes away from the f&h, and am certainly up for checking out the underground as well.
