Boro wants it. Fulham must want it more.

I'm glad we're catching them before Alves has a chance to settle into their squad as they have more trouble than FFC scoring goals.

Prediction: 1-0 to Fulham and 6 caipirinhas downed at the expiration of 90:00.

Ladies and Gents, it's a beautiful week to be a Fulham supporter, bring on your prognostications...

Ooooooooooh boy, I didn't think this thread would come until later in the week as we bask in our victory over Villa!

Oh well, why stop now, we got one point at Bolton, three points at home to Villa, and now we have a relegation six pointer at 'Boro.

Of course I think we'll win and win 3-0 going away. I think after a few training sessions together and a game under their belts this lineup is going to gel...as for the lineup here's what I'd like to see.

If he goes 4-4-2 which will give us more attacking options but leave us open on the counter I would like to see this line-up:

    --------------------Niemi------------------------

    --Volzy--Hughes---------Hangeland--Konch--

    -----------------Andreasen---------------------

    --Davies---------------------------Dempsey--

    -------------------Bullard-----------------------

    ----------Nevland---------Kamara-------------

Or if he goes 4-5-1, which I expect and prefer Roy to do because it worked against Villa's attacking style and 'Boro will be more agressive against us on their ground, I would like to see:

    --------------------Niemi------------------------

    --Volzy--Hughes---------Hangeland--Konch--

    -----------------Andreasen---------------------

    --Davies---------Bullard----------Dempsey--

    ------------------Kamara-----------------------

    ------------------Nevland-----------------------

Bench: Keller, Bocanegra, Murphy, Johnson, McGod

In any case I see us getting the win going away: 'Boro 0-3 Fulham

Good lineups, bearzfan4lfe Last week, just when I thought Baird was turning the corner, he went South on us for 2/3s of the match. Voltz is a good choice. All three new players played well, especially Hangeland. Boca is going to have trouble getting playing time. It is hard to replace the Captain (Hughes) if, for no other reason, he is the Captain. His best option is probably in place of Konchesky. Dempsey gets to play more of a natural postition. Hopefully, Kamara will play like he did last week instead of how he played under Sanchez. McBride and Johnson off the bench if we need scoring. Murphy is the best option off the bench of the Mids from last week.

I wanna see a counter attacking lineup with lots of speed. Kinda like what we did at Bolton except we go forward with pace. I want Kamara on the right wing with EJ up front. If we can make some of the counter attack we will win. If we play like we did at Bolton we will fail.

EJ up front? I love that another American got a chance in the prem, but i have trouble seeing a meaningful contribution from Johnson anytime soon. I'd love for him to surprise some people though.

We've got the momentum, and I say we take it 2-1 at the Riverside, with goals from Demps in the 30th and McBride as a sub in the 77th.

This is IMO the biggest game of our season....We haven't won an away fixture in forever, Boro is in the bottom half of the table and another candidate to go down. We need to continue our solid play from last weekend. I doubt Dempsey will contribute much, he played 60 min on Wed. and looked dead tired. Kamara maybe will get a start or EJ if he's ready, either one should light a spark. I'm looking to get 3 points and end this long Away drought. COYW!!!

I gotta tell you, with all the new people and half the world off playing in mid-week internationals, the only two guys I can guarantee will starting is PK and Jimmy the Bull.

I have faith in Roy, however, and [and I know I've said this two or three other times already this season] I think we're going to get our first away win in a very, VERY long time.

Early in the season, I said that we needed one or two 3-match winning streaks to keep us up where we belong. It's time for the first of those to come to fruition.

Well these next few games is our best opportunity. We can do it, optimisim has to be at a high right now with all the additions and the good showing against a strong team last week. Bullard is back, McBride is back (kinda), Kamara looks strong, Dempsey is flying, WE CAN DO IT.

Boro have been playing pretty good defense, with Wheater looking sharp in the back. But we have been playing better defense as well.

I feel a draw, but Boro have been running their mouths a bit too much this week. They think they've already got the 3 points in the bag this weekend and are already free from relagation concerns.

Well, it's going to be a (2-1) road win and a painful return to reality for Boro.

Surprised we haven't seen Quick make his 2-1 prediction for this game. I'm going with 2-0.

If all good things must come to an end then the same is true of all bad things. Our inability to win away must end on Saturday. I will be in the chatroom with my fingers crossed. COYW![/b]

I haven't posted in...well...for a very long time now, so hello to all the old friends and how do you do to the many who have joined since the big ole party in Columbus a few years back.

Anyway, a quick question because I haven't had time to follow up since the US Mexico draw the other night...is Boca going to be ok to play? He left the game on his own feet, so I assume there wasn't a major injury of any sort, but I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm or deny that.

Again, sorry if this is a subject already covered or general knowledge. It's been a crazy week, and I haven't been keeping up.

Hey mrsjux, as far as I know Boca came out of the game fine, but w/the addition and play of Hangeland and Christinval rounding into shape I can't see Los getting much playing time, but you never know what Roy might have up his sleeve.

I can't find any game-day squad information, but I do have this from ESPN:

Veteran American striker Brian McBride could return to the Fulham starting line-up after recovering from a serious knee injury.

New signing Paul Stalteri had been sidelined by a dead leg, so may now come back into contention, while Jari Litmanen was short of match fitness, but played for Finland during the international break.

Hameur Bouazza has been granted special leave to deal with a family matter after his mother was taken ill.

Thanks, SoCalJoe. I didn't figure he'd see much, if any, time, but it's good to know he cold be there if necessary.

I'm bummed we won't be able to watch the game. Jux and I had a grand old time on Sunday, and the team was a lot of fun to watch again. Here's to momentum.

    Back to work...

That's too bad, both for Bouazza personally and for Fulham. Here's the list of available players from the BBC match preview:

According to this, Alves should play as a sub, Mido may be able to play, and Tuncay will not. The idea of Baird having to cover Stewart Downing, who's probably their biggest threat, terrifies me. Thus:

    Niemi
    Volz - Hughes - Hangeland - Konchesky
    Andreasen
    Davies - Bullard - Dempsey
    Nevland - Kamara

    Keller, Bocanegra, Murphy, Litmanen, McBride

I'm torn between my desire to wake up and listen to the match online and my need to get some SLEEP this weekend.

Roy is liable to come up w/a lineup none of us could have forseen.

Here is 'the stars are aligning' thought; the last time Fulham won an away match was also the last time they won two in a row...1-0 to the good guys

Roy has so many options...what a great thing for a manager. How bout this lineup:

    ----------Niemi---------
    Stalteri-Hughs-Hangleand-Konch
    Deuce-Bullard-Andreasen-Davies
    ------Johnson---Nevland

    Bench:
    Keller, Boca, Volzy, Litmanen, McBride
