How the hell can you punch Jimmy Bullard in the face?!? It's like kicking a puppy, fercristsakes.

Baird must have absolutely zero sense of humor (much less team sportsmanship).

I wasn't thrilled about him before, but now? Buh-bye, Baird. Don't let Volzy's gym towel hit you in the ass on the way out.

With everyone but Sunderland and Reading earning points today, I agree with timmyg. The points HAVE to come tomorrow, regardless of who Roy plays. I would personally like to see Dempsey moved out of the striker position and back where he belongs, but we'll see who he chooses up front.

OMG, If Chris Baird is the answer, I hate to see what the question is -- Moloney is eating his lunch

Does this give them the boost they've needed. Draw or Win away next Saturday and I think they will have the momentum needed to climb out of the zone and stay up. what an exciting game though.

I am with you Timmy. I had tears in my eyes watching this one. Jimmy was fantastic and the team as a whole was great as well. Let's hope this is the kind confidence boosting win we need to move up the table and out the relegation zone. COYW!!!

YEEEEEEEESSSSS! FINALLY! How f***ing good is Jimmy Bullard? What a fantastic match. Not only did we get an incredible win against a top 10 side, we got McBride back, Bullard back and in amazing form, and even Kamara looked inspired. We looked like a totally different team today. My only niggle is with Baird. He did an alright job defensively but his passing is horrible. Hopefully he'll be replaced soon.

    Please let this form continue!!!!!

Wow...I gave him so much shit after I saw his first two games back...I said he'd never get it back...I have never been so happy to be soooooooooooooooooo wrong.

I apologize to everyone who had to waste their time defending him against my clearly ignorant and uniformed comments. I am forever in Jimmy Bullard Bullard's debt.

Great finish by Hughes...whoops...Great finish by Davies...Exceptional free kick under pressure by Bullard. This is why we love the Whites.

I thought Baird did well in defense although he did put himself in most of the situations he had to struggle out of. Can somebody please tell me why Murphy still has a spot on this squad? Is he sleeping with Hodgson???

Oh yeah, while McGod didn't do much on the pitch I'm sure his presence on the sideline and then his appearance helped give the boys a boost. Good to get those first game back jitters out of the way with the full three against Villa.

Let's get ready for 'Boro now!

    #@$@#!!!!!

I missed everything up to apparently the equalizer as I was 'copiloting' ny son on his trip from Ft Worth to Columbus MS and we were discussing a server app he's building.

My impressions: Bullard was immense. We werent giving Villa room. That's all good.

McBride, though.... hasnt regained his leap. His verticals were far from up to his par. Am I wrong?

Well, as Mel Allen used to say: "How 'bout that?"

First off, this was the best football we've played since the first few matches this year. We looked as good as we did against 'boro before Macca got hurt. There was some serious linking play, and everyone was working his ass off -- especially Davies and Dempsey.

I thought that Baird had only one major gaffe -- honest guys, EPL wingers have to win balls once in a while -- and thought that PK looks to be getting back into his stride. I was frankly surprised to see Hughes back starting. I thought he'd be back on the bench and that Baird, based on what RH said in is pre-match interview, had a better chance to start at CB than Hughes did.

Hangeland is a friggin' horse. John Carew is a handfull against anybody, and our new CB just folded the guys up and stuck him in his back pocket. The midfield is so much better. Davies and Dempsey were magic. Bullard is still only about 60-75% of where he was in October 2006, but who's going to argue with an assist and a cracker of a goal? All you guys who joined in the last 18 months, THAT's what all the fuss was about.

I liked Nevland up front. He linked nicely and had some good touches. He hasn't played in a month or so, and I think he'll get better.

    And then there's Murphy. ... ...

Good to have Macca back -- and, yes, 'fog he look just like he's spent 6 months recovering from a horrible injury, but if we spoon feed him, he'll be fine.

And Niemi looked positively awake and had a couple of moments of lightning quick distribution! Must have noticed that it wasn't Warner on the bench any more.

Well, I think that RH has learned all he needs to learn about Hughes at CB and Baird at RB. I think we'll probably see Stefo in there for the long run unless Christanval really does return from the dead. Andreassen is the goods, as is Hangeland.

We're playing good football, and we just got 3 points from a side with legitimate European credentials. We snapped their 8 game unbeaten streak and gave them only their 2nd road loss of the season.

I like what I'm seeing guys. COYW!

PS -- Noisiest home support I've heard since we had Steed and Boa in the lineup!
