    Sprint’s Customer Erosion Prompts Cutbacks

In true NYT style, this article points out 'bad economy' as a factor.. and that's true, somewhat.

But I would bet a canvass of those who deserted Sprint would have pointed out my view and experiences.. addressed NOWHERE in that piece.. that users saddled with a group multiyear plan had expected some improvement in Sprint's coverage to fill in all the dead zones and reduce dropped calls.

Instead of filling in coverage holes, Sprint spent its money on Nextel.. the company that makes it possible for cell users to be even MORE irritating than previously imagined by encouraging grownups to play 'walkie talkie' in public.

And they use two different technologies, of course. so their paying customers got squat.

Laying this off to a soft economy, as in the NYT piece, is ignoring the truth: The Market, 600,000 strong, Speaks!

To the Sprint board, all I have to say is be happy it's just a sharp stick in the eye. Should have been a gas-soaked flaming 2x4 up your arses!
