Note: some bias is evident, especially the supposition that the US should have asked for support from Sunni {Baathist} Army and Police. What isnt treated, there is that news reports at the time said the DIA did indeed try to enlist the Republican Guard senior officers before the invasion.

pf: It's pretty evident though, that the contextual finger of fault in all these type interviews point directly at Paul Bremer. And looking back, there's no other conclusion to be drawn. Would have been better to put the crook Chalabi in charge.. he does a lot of the groundwork, now, anyway.
