We need a Hero, or perhaps some Heroes (plural). It can happen, but I unfortunately remain skeptical at this point.

krhimself's rationale has left me utterly deficient of hope at this moment.

I shed a small tear when the first and second goal went in. I know what this spells. Throw away my key.

Finally a player worth getting. However, not even him will help us avoid relegation. I say it every game that a win is a must or at least something we can take from the game. Every game we do not get that win or even something positive. This game brought back Bullard, but seriously that was the only positive and our play was horrible. We were clearly outclassed and when we did get in good positions we looked horrible. Healy had I don't know how many times where all he had to do was find a decent ball in the penalty area and he failed every time. Baird was crap again, but what do we expect from him anyway? I hope we pay over the odds for King. I really do so we can cement our place in the lower leagues. I am quite pissed off and am tired of us playing this poorly away from home. It has been 16 freaking months since we last won away from home. 16 MONTHS! That has to be the worst away form in all of the football league. We will be lucky to get anything from the Bristol game. This team is crap and does not belong in this league.

Bullard's back, McBride's return can't be too far off, can it? I'm hoping he'll be my gift next weekend. :'(

Don't give up just yet Jacob. There are plenty of games left to play for, having said that though you really need to start chalking up some wins. I reckon you will need at least 21 more points, so 7 wins from your remaining fixtures

I did not even know were were 5 points away from safety before I said we were going down. Now I am sure we are going down. We will lose to Arsenal and be even farther back.

I hate being sour and pessimistic but I can't help it at this point:

    We're going to be relegated.

I just hope we lay the foundations for a quick return to the Prem. I think Roy will serve us well over time and if we add some quality players over the next two transfer windows, we'll be in good shape.

    No TV coverage will suck...

It's like Fulham is acting out "Groundhog Day." With every match the Andrews Sisters' voices in my head get louder and louder.

However, I refuse to be a fatalist despite sensing the same feelings that others are dispersing (...there is a light that never goes out...). I maintain the opinion that a couple of quality signings will keep the Whites up - as the rest of the clubs with 20 points above us are shit too.

    Damnit.

andrews sisters? I thought that was Sonny and Cher.

Thanks, ClevelandMo, for the only Fulham-related laugh I've had since Saturday around 11 central.

I think tomorrow at Bristol will give the team a boost. If they win on the road, it could help with the confidence level. Maybe not against Arsenal, but in the future. Does anyone think Eddie Johnson would be a good move? The web blogs say he is in London meeting with management. Of course, it could be the same people passing around the same rumor.

BC, I feel the same way you do, relegating is around the corner. I would hope if it does happen we get our stuff together. Seeing Bullard on the field took some of the sting away from that lost, but i'm in pins and needles during the match. I 'm going to be on meds by the end of the season.

We just signed Marlon King and are about to sign Eddie Johnson. With those two up front, we won't be lacking in speed. A good balance to McBride when he comes back. I hope Eddie can make the leap.
