Re the Newcastle match. I got up at 4 in the morning, Oz time, to watch it on the net. Wish I hadn't bothered.

I thought Niemi was good, Bouazza sporadically good, Kuqi at least made a few things happen when he came on, Omozusi great, but that's the second or third time he's done something rash in the closing minutes. Other than that, very little to be pleased about.

I've been against sacking Sanchez, but I'm starting to think he's lost the plot. At the start of the season we were playing exciting football - against Newcastle we hardly ever strung more than 2 successibe passes together. The hoofing it out of defence just gives it straight back to the opposition. Wigan had a 5-3 win over a team which we struggled agains. I hold no hope that we will beat them.

Doom and gloom is not my normal way, but I am feeling very despondent.

Thanks for the link Hoppy. It comes from my heart and I guess I tried to make some sense of what's been going on the last number of weeks that we've all observed and had a hard time putting our finger on.
