New from Ramona, California (Near San Diego)

This is my first time on the message board. I have been a Fulham supporter for about four years thanks to Boca and McBride. I like the ownership, the history of the club and its location in SW6.
I saw my first match at Craven Cottage in November (Fulham 3-Reading 1)and sat in Section Z. While I have been a Galaxy supporter from the beginning and remain so, it was a thrill to see live Premier football. Being that close to the action let me see the quality of the players and the same types of issues you see at any level of the sport. In the second half, I watched Nathan Ashton, who took Konchesky's spot, find himself out of postion a dozen times while Sanchez and the Central Backs were yelling at him to do one thing or another. It is not the same experience you have on TV. Being as close to the pitch as you are in a small stadium I can only compare with Fenway Park. It was great. In person, Davies, Dempsey, Niemi and Bouazza look pretty good. Dempsey gets fouled a lot with little help from the officials. Healy seems to work hard but he needs McBride back. It is also nice to stay after the match, drink and watch highlights on the big screens.
I was an infrequent contributor on the Fulham MB, but have gotten very tired of the negativity. From reading this site, it looks a lot better. Same knowledge, without the angst.

Hope you enjoy FulhamUSA and you won't find that awful negativity/angst here. Well, unless we perform badly but after a day it all subsides and that really only shows the level of passion we have for Fulham.

Thats great that you got to see the Reading match but that fact you sat in Block Z hurts me. I know the view is awsome but there is nothing better than being in the midst of the atmosphere in Hammersmith End.

Over the holdiays, I will post my pictures from Craven Cottage. I have to wait until my kids come home and show me how to do it.

 

Kids dont have to do nearly enough work around the house these days. Good job jlough, put them to work in any way possible
