    Oh dear, oh my.

Last time Fulham went to Old Trafford they were shelled 5-1 to kick start last season.

Well, A LOT has changed since then...except the fact that ManU are still as dominant as they've ever been.

ManU played all their regulars yesterday, and should trot out the same lineup on Monday. Fulham will probably put out the same lineup as on Sunday and play the longball.

    And it wont be effective.

    2-0 ManYoo.

I have taken Monday/Tuesday off from work to go to the match. I must be a glutton for punishment eh??

I'll be there for the boys and, of course, won't expect much from the match. COYW's

I have the same two hopes for ManUre as I did for Liverpool.

Hope one: we don't lose by more than two goals [gotta keep that goal difference in our favor] AND
    Hope two: nobody gets hurt

United are NOT playing their best football at the moment, and I think they'll take us lightly. That's in our favor. NOT in our favor is the fact that, against Blackburn, our WORST defender was Konchesky. Both of their goals resulted from some serious ball watching on his part. Let's hope he gets his shit together or Ronaldo will eat his lunch.

Also not in our favor is LS's continued reliance on Murphy while he banishes Smertin to the reserves.

I'm starting to understand that LS's strategy is to keep it close in the first half and then bring in Kuqi and Healy in the 2nd half to put a little weight on their defense. I can buy that. So, here's my preferred lineup for Monday afternoon:

    ------------- Niemi ---------------
    Baird ---- Hughes ------- Stefanovich ----- Konchesky
    Davies ----- Smertin ---- Davis ------- Bouazza
    -------- Dempsey ---------- Kamara --------

Bench; Batista; Boca; Murphy; Healy, Kuqi

Result: Man U 2 Fulham 1 & NOBODY GETS HURT

Monday afternoon games on Setanta are cruddy. Can't go to a bar to watch because I'll be at work, can't record because Setanta isn't available on cable. Guess I'll be trying to listen online from work.

    Sorry. I'll stop complaining now.

Gotta get the Russian back on the field. Like to see Omosuzi and his pace at right back (won't happen). Superhero will need to stand on his head...again. Sadly with ManUre losing to Bolton last week the sneak up factor is virtually erased, they'll come out flying we'll need to show some grit and try to catch them on a counter. Expecting a 0-2 loss, but this team usually plays to the level of their opponent, a draw would be a massive boost.

I actually thought Murphy had a very good game against Blackburn.

I'm not feeling positive about this one with Rooney (and others) returning and after they were stung by the Bolton loss last week.

    Man Utd 4-1 Fulham

Sir Alex could be serving a touchline ban for this one. The last time he served a ban against Fulham at Old Trafford (in 2003), this happened:

I think we'll perform similarly to the Arsenal match. We'll play them well and hard but in the end, we won't be able to compete with their talent. I say 4-2 with United pulling away late.

People are predicting Fulham to win...AT OLD TRAFFORD?!

I still can't get past that.

In any case, I'd love to see a Fulham win, but I'll gladly take ANY points from the biggest team in Manchester. Watch Fulham get an early lead and watch Rooney get an equalizer at minute, let's say, 86.

Another tough match this week. I don't see us getting the win, and I don't see us getting blown out...either. It should be more of the same. We play it tight for awhile and then let it slip away late. The Poo 3-1 winners.

For the lineup...I would put in Smertin for Murphy and leave the rest alone. Let's hope we steal some points and get December off to a great start......COYW.

Hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst.

I'll be off to the GL to watch the match tonight. Hoping Lawrie opts for a Healy/Kuqi partnership up top oppose to Kamara/Dempsey.

Backline should stay the same. Would like to see the midfield line up with Bouazza on the left, Smertin and Dempsey in the middle and Davies on the right.

Predictions of the full time score are out the window...

Team of McBrides, I like your midfield line up. I have been thinking this for a while. I believe a few people mentioned it on another topic as well. I think Dempsey can create for the guys up front, and I think that is where he should be when McBride comes back.
