In town for the Dec. 15th match--need advice

All,

The best stroke of luck has my job sending me to London on the 13-14th of December. The first thing I did was to look up the EPL schedule. Early and awesome Christmas present for me is being able to attend the Fulham v. Newcastle match on the 15th to cheer on our Yankie Boys!

So, I need your advice. I should have all of the day on the 15th free. Should I get my tickets now? What section of the stadium is good (excluding the away and neutral of course)? Where to drink and eat before the game. Any special discounts for Yanks? :wink:

Dan, get in touch with Mike and he will sort you out with any help you need in planning your match day experience.

In my opinion, the Hammersmith End is the best stand to sit in. The fans are loud, rowdy and always striking up a good song. I would say that you leave pretty much the whole day open for the match and get to a Fulham pub for pre-match drinks. I recommend the Golden Lion or the Bricklayers. Both have a good atmosphere on match days and will give you a chance to meet some great Fulham supporters.

Thanks! You know that old saying "don't count your chickens before they hatch" well I just ran smack into that. It looks like they might pull the plug on my England trip. grrrrrr... I hope to know more soon. Man this sucks!
