Should I find a pub to watch this match live, or should I go to an FA Cup First Round match at Barnet or Leyton Orient or Hampton and Richmond Borough?

i wasn't using long-ball as a perjorative. fulham probably will have to play that way for stretches of the game, if not the whole game. i'm not like senor messi who thinks it is anti-football. just ask sam allardyce, a win is a win.

As much as I love Fulham, if I were you [and I were there] I'd go for the live FA cup match. Nothing like FA Cup football even at this early a stage.

    Enjoy, pard!

C'mon everyone, your forgetting our secret weapon for the game:

    Rafa Benitez

Do you honestly think he'll through the same lineup out there for two consective games, I doubt it! He'll do something to over coach himself once again.

And the Liverpool faithful will have to sing "we'll walk alone tonight"

    1-0 Fulham

We stung Rafa when he did that last spring, and I think he's still smarting from it. I don't like to be a negative nancy, but I think Plod plays all their starters and hangs a big crooked number on us. I see something like 4-1 to the Reds, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

    From Soccernet:

Fernando Torres could figure. Harry Kewell, substitute in the last two games after a season sidelined through injury, is also in contention. Daniel Agger is expected back in three weeks, Xabi Alonso in a month, while Jermaine Pennant is out until the new year.

Carlos Bocanegra returns from suspension, but Elliott Omozusi must serve a ban after his sending off last week against Reading. Chris Baird is fit and will return to the starting line-up, but youngster Nathan Ashton has picked up a thigh injury and misses out. Shefki Kuqi could be handed his full debut in attack, and Alexey Smertin will be considered if Sanchez opts for a five-man midfield at Anfield. Moritz Volz (shoulder and groin), Phillipe Christanval (knee), Kasey Keller (bicep), Lee Cook (knee) and Ian Pearce (ankle), Brian McBride (knee) and Jimmy Bullard (knee) are all still sidelined. Paul Konchesky serves the final match of a three-game ban.

    My 2 cents --
    -------------------Niemi
    Baird -- Hughes -- Stef -- Boca
    ------------------Smertin
    -----Davis -- Davies ----Kuqi
    ----------Deuce -- Kamara

Warner, Seol Man, Murphy, Healy, Bouazza

No prediction, fingers crossed, 1 point would be most appreciated

Martin, the match is the tea-time match so you can catch it at 9 am. Of course, who the hell knows [or cares] what time of day it is in LV?

Go to a match, I'll tape it for you.

Where are people in NYC watching this one? I hope to make it out of bed, but may have to spend the morning in Brooklyn. If so, I'll watch it at Floyd on Atlantic Ave. Otherwise, I'll try to get to Nevada's. I'll be the one with the cane.

Kuqi is apparently starting. Ashton is apparently out. Baird and Boca are back.

Personally, I don't rate Kuqi. He played well coming off the bench on Saturday, but not sure he's good for more than a few games this season. Definitely not a long-term team member, imo... but Sanchez brought him in for exactly the kind of situation Fulham is in right now (no McBride, others struggling).

There's a good chance I'll be at Nevada Smiths. The only way I'll stay at home is if my new HD TV is delivered today.

hmm seems everyone is worried about tomorrow. i am too. hopefully i'll see everyone in the chat chat room.

fulham should run a 4-5-1 on defense, and a 4-3-2-1 when attacking. it should look something like this:

    ------------Anttiiiiii-----------
    Baird--Hughes--Steffy--Boca
    --Davies--Smertin--Davis----
    -------Booze-----Demp-------
    --------------Kuqi-----------

    Warner
    Healy
    Kamz
    Soul-Kill
    Murphy

I expect us to compete but a point or three is a tough ask, hoping we can come away with somthing though.

Kuqi has been tremendous in the last two games. The man deserves a start.

    Prediction 2-1 L'pool

    Want:
    2-1 to Fulham (Kuqi,Dempsey)

    Would settle for:
    1-1 (anybody)

    Will probably get:
    1-0 Liverpool (Torres 89')

I know our chances are slim, but I think I'm more excited going into this game than any other this season.

Exactly right, it's all about "heart and hustle". Those two things can take a side like ours to victory over a team like theirs. Spice that up with a bounce that goes our way, and someone, like CD, whose in the right place at the time and, "you never know". Bring it hard, boys

Setanta's Friday Football show had a Moritz Volz special. He gets up real early and does Yoga.

... and the previewed a Clint Dempsey special before tomorrow morning's game. He does a rap. Setanta guys were impressed.

I like the idea of your lineup TimmyG.... but I would slide Kuqi in beside Dempsey and put Healy up top. With our record on the road and especially our record @ the Poo. I see a late winner for them to steal all of the points (2-1). Let's hope I'm wrong....
