You probably never noticed ...

    ... but, unless the Republicans put the former governor of Florida [you remember, the Bush brother who was SUPPOSED to be a presidential candidate] on the ticket as vice-President, 2008 will be the first time that their national ticket has not included a Bush or a Dole since ... 1972!

    Not only was that before a majority of the posters on FUSA were born, that's even a long time in HatterDon and PettyFog years.

    Not making a point here, I just enjoy statistical anomalies. Like how in 1992 the voters chose among three left-handed presidential candidates -- one from Texas, one from Arkansas, and one from Texarcana.

    Okay, back to our shared unrequited love for FFC.

    Also noticed that the Dems are running against Bush.

    And the GOP against Slick Willie's 'feminine side'.
