Alright I held my anger back in the game thread, but I will not now. This is fucking bullshit. I was really looking forward to Cousin playing for us. I wanted him so badly and FIFA had to dash our fucking hopes. They let Liverpool do it, but when it comes to a small club from London who most of the FIFA board have probably never heard of they give us a BIG fuck you. Well you know what FIFA I could give a shit about your ruling. We are going down anyway and you have just stuck another nail in the coffin for Fulham. Fuck it this is appaling.

Captures my sentiments exactly. Yes, even the last part.

A move that was all but completed has been blocked on the basis of the player in question having taken part in a final 20 minute send-off for the club he was previously signed from. It all strikes me as petty in the extreme.

Reports from England are saying Fifa has NOT said no and there is a bit of confusion about how/why it was reported by Sky Sports that Fifa had said no.

    Strange.

I don't want to come across as pessimistic about Cousin, but I'm guessing FIFA will finally come up w/a decision at 11:55 tomorrow night saying 'No, but we were feeling generous and decided to give you 5 minutes to try and sign someone else'.

Wow five minutes??? You really are giving FIFA the benefit of the doubt there....I say 11:58 but they only tell the FA who doesn't give us the news until sometime the next day.

Clement has been mentioned but I don't think Brunt has:

"Fulham have been linked with a double raid for West Brom's Neil Clement and Chris Brunt, with Reading also chasing the Northern Ireland winger. Versatile defender Clement, who can play at left-back, centre-back and also in midfield, is on Roy Hodgson's shopping list ahead of Thursday's closure of the transfer window.

The Cottagers boss wants Clement to provide competition for Paul Konchesky, and is looking to sign him on loan until the end of the season according to The Sun.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is unlikely to sanction the move, though, as he has sent Tininho out on loan to Barnsley so wants Clement as back-up for first-choice left-back Paul Robinson.

Hodgson has yet to win a game as Fulham boss and has seen his new side struggle for goals, so has also targeted a £4million bid for classy left winger Brunt, who is also on Reading chief Steve Coppell's wanted list.

Albion only signed the 23-year-old for £3million from Sheffield Wednesday last summer, and he has played a starring role in helping the Baggies to top spot in the Championship.

So it would take a bid of nearer to £6million for them to even consider selling the Northern Irishman this week".

From one of the usual sources, Barra off of TIFF:

We are hoping to tie up 2 deals before the end of the day.

The club are still hopeful that Cousin will get the okay however we are talking to 2 other players and Roy is hopeful that we will sign at least 2 more,we are talking to a right sided midfielder and another forward apart from Cousin.

Can't give names as don't have them - things to do with security pretty hot since RH arrival at MP and within the club, staff watching there backs!!!!!

Another right sided midfielder! For fecks sake!

Jack, my son, will be getting loads of coaching on using his left. Maybe by the time he is eligible (he's 4 now), Fulham will have figured out that they need a left sided midfielder.

Rangers in for Simon Davies on loan:

"RANGERS today made deadline-busting moves for Italian international striker Andrea Caracciolo and Fulham midfielder Simon Davies. Smith has also been looking to bolster midfield and hopes a deal can be done for the 28-year-old Wales cap Davies to come north on loan. He has also played for Everton and Spurs."

hmmm...it would allow us to put Dempsey over there. Volzy has played there a few times as well in the last couple of matches. I wonder if Roy lets this happen.

I think Litmanen can bring us a lot as a late game sub for 20-25 minutes.

Expecting much more of him is a mistake, but he could be very effective in that role.

hmm...wonder if these are the guys:

"Fulham are said to be preparing to make a late bid for Lazio duo Stephen Makinwa and Fabio Firmani.

The London side are desperate for reinforcements capable of staving off the threat of relegation, and have identified the pair as realistic targets ahead of tonight's transfer deadline.

Indeed, both players are capable of making a contribution but find themselves on the fringe of the Biancoceleste setup.

Nigerian striker Makinwa has failed to make the most of his limited appearances for the Italian capital club and is rumoured to be close to a return to Atalanta, the club he showed so much promise in the second half of the 2004/05 season.

Italian midfielder Fabio Firmani, in the meanwhile, has struggled to get a game since scoring a dramatic winner against Parma in November, which he memorably celebrated by running under the Curva Nord to embrace an image of fallen Lazio fan Gabriele Sandri."
