Very hard to say at the moment, the first dominoe is Litamen, if he signs that will be 2 strikers in and then I think Roy will make a big run for Scharner. If RH doesn't think Jari can help and FIFA looks to be dragging its feet about the Cousin situation then King will end up in a White jersey.

My Italian is a little rusty so I could not read the link. What about the fact that Hodgson coached at Inter and is still well-like there. Do you think he is perhaps working his connections with them? Does the article say anything about that?

I don't believe Litmanen is a striker; at his age I can't imagine him being fast enough to do so in the EPL anyway.

Good point JMH, but he's only a year older than Mac, and won't be brought in to run at people but rather use his experience, guile, etc (what's the expression..wily old veteran) to put himself in scoring positions.

In other words, a Scandinavian Danny Murphy. Sorry, I just don't see the benefit in signing him. Here's my order of preference on what we've been linked with:

    1. King
    2. Scharner
    3. Cousin

Yeah, I think I phrased it that way too. We're only a week away from the end of the window at this point, and the rumors (other than the three you mentioned) seem to have dried up. With Kamara away, McBride not healthy yet, and John loaned back out, we REALLY need another striker.

Not saying that's my preference, just think the club will make their next move according to what they decide about him.

WE DID NOT WANT KING! HE IS OVERRATED AND 5M POUNDS COULD BE USED SO MUCH BETTER. This is not a loss, it would have been if he had gone for 3m.

Also, he is getting paid 40,000 a week!

Scharner is on our list and so are two more strikers...COYWs

    And there it is.....

    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/25012008/ ... -move.html

I don't know how much this will hurt us because if he did fail a physical then it's a good move...but we'll have to see how he does before we judge letting him go/slip away.

In the end I hope what we've picked up, assuming FIFA allows Cousin to complete his transfer here, will be enough to bring us out of the relegation zone.

fulham need to pick up a left wing midfielder. physioroom still has bouazza's status as "no return date" and cook is "very doubtful" for the bolton match. we cant keep throwing out this davies on the left and volzy on the right crap. anyone else missing routledge?

amcbride's return is bumped back to late february, so even if cousins arrives fulham need another striker.

and i would LOVE for scharner to come here.

Heck, even Radzinski eventually started to look comfortable on the left.

Anyone else feel miffed by this whole debacle? King was like that beautiful girl you keep trying to go out with. And then right when you're about to, you find out she's got baggage and is totally neurotic. But she's so hot that you cant just dump her as you think that "well maybe there's potential for something." But also dont want to 'tie the knot' per se because she's crazy.

And then some other dude comes around and sweeps her off her feet and she's gone. You're relieved you didnt date her, but also disappointed it didnt work out for you.

    sigh.

If we get Cousin, then Dempsey can play at LM - not ideal, but I think he is more effective there than Davies (who is a good RM, but his left foot needs some work).

Well, it looks like Cho Jae-Jin might be the next striker coming in.

As for Routledge, I always liked him and thought he would take over the wing spot. He had flashes of brilliance, but also disappeared for long periods of time - when he did get in the game. The Spurs rated him a little too high or he might still be here, but his transfer fee has dropped quite a bit, from the rumors I've ran accross. He would fit the bill for us right now with his pace up the wing.
