    Martin, I remember the man and the match very well. I started a thread on his passing around Sept 12 on the official site. I've tried to find it to link it to you, but I kept running out of time.

    I have a lot of personal memories of that match, and was pleased to discover that Porterfield had such a significant coaching career and was a good guy as well.

    Don, It's funny the cup finals in the seventies had so much more than they do now, this was an epic since Leeds were so much higher than Sunderland and Porterfield and the goalkeeper Montgomery played such a big part. he's passing is so sad.
